What is the first thing to do when you are ready to become a fulltime rv'er?

Becoming a fulltime rv'er may be one of the most exciting changes a person can make in their life. Selling your home and personal items you have collected for many years is probably a difficult thing to do. But is it the most difficult thing to do? Maybe just the thought of not having roots in your community would be the most difficult to do. Or could it be the logistics of being on the road? There is so much to consider.
Please share your experiences with me in this blog. I am sure there are some old pros out there with a lot of wisdom to share. Newbies will really benefit from the wisdom of the pros!

If you have thought it all out and are ready to take the plunge and go on the road full time, I would like to share a few thoughts with you. I have clients who are retired and traveling for pleasure, traveling because of their job such as traveling nurses, salespersons, and field workers. I have clients who are living in other countries because thier jobs have taken them there or because the cost of living is cheaper in other countries. In many cases, a person needs a USA address to purchase items on line or by catalog in order to have the purchase sent by UPS or other delivery agents. Texas Home Base supplies the USA address and forwards the items without any difficulty. If you are traveling you can either impose on a family member or friend to gather your mail and forward it on to you or find a good mail receiving / forwarding agent to do it for you. Texas Home Base is not the large impersonal mail forwarding company. I am able to take a personal interest in your mailing needs. However, Texas Home Base is experienced enough to give you quality service. Your satifaction is our top priority.
Some of my clients want to make Texas their state of residence. Texas has no state income tax. The sales tax is 6 1/4%. In order to be considered a resident of Texas a person must have a Texas street address, register their vehicle in Texas, obtain a Texas driver's license, and obtain a voter's registration card in Texas. There is a certain order that these things must be done in. I will discuss the order in my next entry.
